Causeway Coast & Glens Heritage Trust commissioned Direct Access to undertake a series of consultations with disability stakeholders to identify ten sites across three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This included Giants Causeway, one of only three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Ireland.
NRAC and IAAP Certified Access Consultants audited sites to Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements and Northern Ireland’s Building Regulations Guidance R.
In addition to site audits, Direct Access developed the organisation’s Equality Policy and internal Access Guide to support the organisation in creating accessible events and experiences.
