Running between 11-20 March 2022, British Science Week is a ten day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths and this year’s theme is “Growth”.
Appropriate not least in the context of the past two years where unforeseen developments in science saved many lives, but also rather timely for Direct Access as our work for the Science Museum Group expanded beyond three site audits to include several more, including sites yet to be opened up!
Direct Access are committed to the growing implementation of accessible environments for Science Museum buildings.
For this, we are currently recruiting disabled people to be involved in an accessibility evaluation for another contract covering the Medicine Gallery at the Science Museum, London.
If you are a disabled person and passionate about science or simply creating access for the thousands of people who will benefit from your thoughts, please get in contact to take part in our consultation workshops via the contact form at the bottom of this page or e-mail/telephone us.
There will be thousands of events running across the UK for British Science Week, with another theme being “Smashing Stereotypes”. So let’s do this for all curious and intelligent disabled people who deserve equal access to Science!
