Re-designing the workplace

As countries slowly start to ease off COVID19 lock down restrictions, forward thinking employers are considering how to support their employees to return to work. Social distancing will be the new norm, office layouts need to change, and home working encouraged.

Accessibility for disabled people needs to be considered, both for employees and visitors. Some of these can be simple such as mounting hand sanitizer at accessible levels to more complex issues such as installing plexiglass screens in a way to minimise glare which impacts on lipreading. For those working from home has there been an appropriate set up of a working desk that meets DSE requirements?

We are helping firms to plan for these changes through our individual workplace assessments to audits of the entire visitor or employee journey.
